The Festival of the New European Bauhaus – open call till 31st December!

With the working title “Resources for all”, the Festival brings together innovators, creators, scientists, people, and collectives from all walks of life to debate and shape our future that is sustainable, inclusive and beautiful.

Let’s explore together topics such as shelter and living environments, land and water, fashion and human wellbeing in light of the changing environment.

The calls for Satellite events and Media partners have been extended until 31 December.

The European Commission invites you to be part of the second New European Bauhaus Festival. The event will take place in Brussels in April 2024, accompanied by independent Satellite Events across European Union and beyond. You can participate or contribute to The Festival in more than one ways:

By showcasing your project or prototype,
Taking part in festival’s art and culture program,
Organising an independent satellite event, or
Becoming a media partner

The Festivals programme will span four days across four tracks of activities:

Forum – a platform for engaging discussions and the exchange of ideas surrounding the New European Bauhaus.
Fair – a laboratory and exhibition highlighting projects and prototypes that align with and support the core values of the New European Bauhaus.
Fest – a celebration that unites culture, art, and conviviality, serving as a moment of collective rejoicing, honouring freedom of expression and embracing radical, innovative, and disruptive ideas and visions.
Satellite events: events and initiatives organised independently in Brussels and beyond, with core activities in line with the New European Bauhaus values.

The Festival applications are open for all to apply
The Festival will take place on 17-21 April 2024
Application deadline for the Fair or Fest is 30 September 2023
Financial support will be offered only to artists, selected for the Fest of the Festival
Applicants can submit more than one project and to more than one calls

Calls for applications

Interested organisations and individuals can propose their own activities, projects or satellite events to one of the two calls to become a spotlight feature of The Festival.

I. Call for expressions of interest for Satellite Events

The 2024 edition of the Festival is calling for innovators like you to participate in this extraordinary hybrid event. With its core activities taking place in vibrant Brussels and captivating satellite events spanning across the European Union and beyond, this is an unparalleled opportunity to gain international exposure. You can seize this chance to reach new horizons, connect with like-minded individuals, and leave an indelible mark on the beautiful, sustainable, and inclusive vision of the New European Bauhaus.

We offer you an online space, where your event can shine. This includes key information about your event, such as dates, location, names of organisers, agenda, and links to your event website and social media channels. You will also have the opportunity to be featured on our interactive map, gaining exposure and connection to a wider audience. Additionally, selected events may have the chance for live streaming or recorded sessions on our central platform, allowing for even greater reach and engagement.

II. Call for expressions of interest for Media Partners

You will be able to showcase your work to a diverse global audience passionate about art, culture, and innovation and collaborate with the festival organisers to create engaging content and coverage that highlights the festival’s unique atmosphere.

The Festival is also an opportunity to connect with fellow media professionals, artists, and industry leaders through networking events and opportunities and play a crucial role in promoting the festival and its participants, contributing to the overall success and visibility of the NEB Festival 2024.
