PUBLIC CALL FOR GRANTS

Program for Support of Small Enterprises for Acquisition of Equipment in 2023

The Ministry of Economy and the Serbian Development Agency, supported by the “Serbia and EU –Equipment for Economy” funded by the European Union, is awarding grants to micro and small enterprises, entrepreneurs and cooperatives.

The total grant fund is around RSD 1.4 billion.

The objective of the Program is to support investments and promote accelerated economic growth.

 

The funds allocated by the Program are intended for the co-funding the acquisitions of:

  1. New equipment directly involved with the process of production of tradeable goods as follows:

1.1 Production equipment and/or machinery;

1.2 Transport and manipulation tools used in in the production and internal transport processes;

1.3 Machinery components and specialized tools;

1.4 Machinery and equipment for improving energy efficiency and ecological aspects of production;

  1. New equipment for construction works, specifically:

2.1 Construction machinery for execution of construction works.

The Program is conducted by the Ministry of Economy and the Serbian Developoment Agency in cooperation with select business banks and leasing agencies:

Eligibility:

  1. Legal entities, registered as economic enterprises or cooperatives at the Business Registers Agency, classified into micro and small legal entities as per the Law on Accounting (“Official Gazette of RS”, nos. 73/19 and 44/21 – another law) in accordance with the 2021 financial reports;
  2. Entrepreneurs registered with the Business Registers Agency.

The applicants fulfilling the criteria of the Program and who get their funding approved by the banks (leasing agencies) may exercise the right to co-funding of up to 25% net worth of the procured equipment. The participation of companies is 5% of the equipment’s total worth, while the rest is secured via loans from business banks or through financial leasing by the companies involved in the Program implementation.

The size of the grant for each applicant will be determined based on the number of full-time employees as of December 31, 2022 per the record of the Central Registry of Mandatory Social Insurance: 1 employee – up to 1 RSD million, 2-5 employees – up to RSD 2.5 million, 6 or more employees – up to RSD 5 million.

The public call is open until the allocated budget has been spent, but no later than 31 December 2023.
